Chrome trim.

Post by Jeff Metz Jr. »

Just curious as to what do most builders such as Mullen, Emmons, zum etc use for the chrome trim strips on the steel guitar bodies? Thank you.

…. Yeah yeah…
Is it a commercially available trim or are they making it in house?

Hi Jeff I used small angled Aluminium from DIY store and cut one side off leaving slight lip using a bench saw. Cuts easy and clean. Sanded and polished. Stuck on with contact glue. Dave :)

Just take a piece of aluminum 3/8 or 1/2 " x 2 or 3 " x 36 " long and run it thru a table saw , use aluminum cutting wax (find it at CR Laurence)
