Emmons 12 String Guitars
Hey folks, I’m wondering how many 12 string guitars Emmons made, and in which models.
I’d like to purchase an Emmons 12 string, pretty much any model. Push pull, Legrand. Whatever I can find, I’d be interested in looking at.
Do any of you guys know how many were made or how often these come up for sale?

I’ve owned a great 70s 12 string push pull on two different occasions (same guitar)
Last I remember I sold it to Spencer cullum jr.
It was a single 12 .

I had an Emmons push pull S12 about 25 years ago . Narrower string spacing than an S10 Emmons , though I have heard they came in a wider string spacing too . To my knowledge all 12 string Emmons guitars were push pull , no LeGrande 12's . Last ones were built in the early 80's , though who knows there may have been some one offs later than that . They pop up for sale now and then .

I had an Emmons PP S12 that I attempted to set up as a universal. It sounded great but I quickly realized it wasn't a great candidate for the universal tuning - too much tuning underneath the guitar rather than at end place to be practical. I also missed the way lowers and raises combine on an all pull.

I miss my Emmons U-12. I sold it to a gentleman in the Netherlands, many years ago.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.
